Learning to knit can be knitty-gritty, even though its awfully fun. At least at first learning!!! I've always wanted to knit...so my Grandma taught me how, but the story is, she didn't really know how to show me to start it out right, but once I got going I was fine. So my friend the other day taught me how to start the knitting, and I already have the 'middle' part memorized, so now all I need to know is how to STOP!!!!(LOL) Good days....:)

The Friendship that lasts Forever....
Currently, in fact I just read some in it tonight, I am reading in a book called Grown-Up Girlfriends by Erin Smalley and Carrie Oliver. Its really my mom's book but when I see a good book like this one I don't let it set for long!:)
God is wise in heart and mighty in strength, who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?
Job 9:4
As I go through this Grown-Up Girlfriends book, it makes me realize how shallow so many of my relationships are in my life. Why had I never thought of asking one of my friends I've known since third grade about her testimony, or even more convicting...have I even asked my own grandmother(s), or even...mother? For me, I know my mother has a testimony, but have I asked it? For some of you, you may not know if some of your friends are saved, why not ask them? Are we so stuck in ourselves that we are afraid of being rejected or loosing the friendship? I highly encourage you, (and even if your not a girl, find a good friendship book that will work for you, but this has principles for everyone in it) to pick up this book and give it a try. More importantly though, pick up the Good Book and don't just try...seek until it is opened unto to you, never stop knocking! Do you know that God will never turn away someone that seeks Him with his/her entire heart? I love Job 9:4 because that last segment states: 'Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?'
Your real friend is The Friend called Jesus. You can't hide from God forever, in the end, we all will be judged. Let God's Word soften your heart. Don't harden it. And witness the wonders that the Lord will do through your life...your heart. When you call on Jesus, He answers. He made friendship before we even had a word for it.
Love Him.

January Barn Dance!
I had sooooo much fun today at an awesome barn dance. We adorned ourselves in Civil War era, me wearing the beautiful, famous red (I know, it looks like a Scarlet O'hara dress) that used to be my mom's when she was about 15 or 16. Crazy, right? I know, its like almost too small for me now, and probably will be that last time I wear it to someplace so we took plenty of cute pictures for you all! Elena dressed in her yellow Disney Princess ball gown, Princess Belle she was, and mom wore a flowing light lilac with a ruffled neckline, a very soft purple color. My grandma even came, and we all had so much fun learning to do the Virginia reel and even getting mixed up you had to laugh because the Bluegrass Pickers played such lively, wonderful ballads and tunes that you had to have a good ole time! There was even this darling little three-year-old that clung to me like glue, declaring, "I wanna dance with the red girl!" The only thing that was missing at the dance were more boys! There were about 3 guys (which were older men might I respectfully put) that actually danced....man, me and my mom were talking about how next January I'm gonna invite tons of homeschool families we know! You know, that'll add to their boy numbers REAL fast!:) Ye-haw! Enjoy! I'll try to post a video if this thing will let me....here they are:
