Buttons and Snippets...memories sweet

'The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?'
Psalm 27:1

I love it!

Plans for the Future

Have you ever thought of what you want to be when you grow up?  Or the beautiful things that you want to accomplish?  Your dreams that reach past the clouds, your goals that are set in your heart?

~I have many dreams...but I also have goals.  Goals are simply, 'dreams that are being acted upon.'  Some dreams that I've typed out on paper and posted on my closet door in the past, like: 'I want to be married and have lots of kids by age 30', actually, I'd like to have 8 or 9 children, that is, a wistful thought and lovely dream.  And another dream that I have set into my heart is one that I pray almost daily to the Lord to make a reality, 'that God would use my books that I write to change hearts...even if I never make a penny from them.'

My dream of being an author that actually changes hearts for Jesus Christ, is one of my ultimate goals and dreams.  The one of being married with children...is more a wistful wish.

You see, I don't know if God wants me to marry...but I KNOW with ALL my soul and mind that He wants me to write.  He's given me that ability to write books, and I want to use that for Him.  Would getting married be nice?  Certainly.  But its NOT my end goal, and its certainly fine if God tells me to stay single all my life...there's ups and downs to both, but since Jesus is my lover and friend better than anyone else, does it truly matter what He has in store for me?

I encourage you to follow your dreams...but ONLY the dreams that He has for you.  Sometimes it might hurt, sometimes He asks you to give your dreams to Him and let Him handle them for His glory...
but trust Him.
Its going to be all right.

All this for...an eggy breakfast????

Building a chicken house and caring for fourteen chickens has been our latest family project.  I mean BIG project.  It's got two windows, six by eight and painted inside and out, its a lot of work but definitely worth the experience of working together as a team.

I'd like to name all of them by name, but so far they still look too much like each other to name all of them and remember who is who.  But so far, there's Gracie, Ellie and Alise....I think those are the only ones we can really tell apart!
Maybe you've been considering chickens, well, I'll tell you right now that they're not a simple job, but if you want scrambled eggs bad enough....

then I guess you'll just have to have them!:)

Sincerely a hardworker,

Samantha:)!

Getting your heart right

Wow.

Pretty beautiful, huh?  This is when we were in Colorado, overlooking a canyon!

Are we always looking at God's creation, and worshiping Him, or the creation?

Let's get our hearts right before God.

Sincerely in Jesus' blood,

Samantha

I'm in Love...

Ever had a crush on something very beautiful?  Well, that's the way I feel about my pretty girl-friend that's understanding, independent, and always there for me.
My love is...Butterscotch.  My pretty horse.

For all those reading this, and that don't live in the country, and haven't a love for horses, skip reading this.
But for those that do love horses, comment and tell me about one of your horse crushes!!!
God really does want us to love horses...in Job it speaks of the unicorn...

does anyone reading this know that??

Go out there and fall in love, horse speaking.

A Daughter in Christ,

Samantha
