Delighting in the Son

Delight yourself in the Lord, by praising Him for His tender glories that He breathes on us daily.

Whether the delicate pink petals of a tiny flower, or the sparkling of the sunlight, He loves and made us.
So delight in Him.
Delight in His Son, Jesus.

A Trip into History...visiting the Harry S. Truman Museum & Library

Learning our country's history is so vital.  We need to know the history of our country, or we won't know  how or why God has brought us this far.  Why is it important that you know America's history?
So you can believe that God most certainly DID found our country on the Truth of His Word, the Holy Bible, not on communism; and that you and us all might apply that same principle to OUR lives.
Lets found OUR lives on the TRUTH of Jesus Christ and the Bible!  It's the only way you will have a strong foundation that will not waver or crumble!  Do you think its a coincidence that America still remains the most blessed and freest country in all the world?
ANYTHING that God establishes with His blessing, He does for a reason.

Yum!  Eating peanut butter and chocolate chunk ice cream cones at the special fountain shop that President Harry Truman worked at as a young man...he mopped the very floors!!

Hey Bro!  Was up????

American Soldiers upholding our dear flag, our gloried banner

Me in my lady bug dress, before its all the way finished

I would most highly recommend the Harry S. Truman Museum in MO.  It was a great field trip for our family, and had lots of neat tidbits of history...anywhere from World War II to the Cold War on!
Its wonderful to see that people still go to a museum that respects a God-honoring president like Harry Truman.  God used him in many mighty ways, simply to let His glory shine through so that all may know Jesus Christ.
President Truman was forced to make some very tough decisions during World War II; resulting in the atomic bomb being dropped on Japan to end the war.
He probably felt restless, uncertain, saddened, but he knew that that was what he had to do to save our country.
And he did it.

Sunshine On Her Face Play...May 18, 2012

~Lots of work, but below it proves the lots of fun that we also had doing the play!

Dinner Time!

Play Cast is eating Subway before show-time!

Having ah 'Girl Party' at the mirror, as we get ready
Wow Hannah!...your doing your hair, right?

Me ('Casri McKlay' my character) putting on mascara
Faith (or 'Morning Sunlight' was her Indian character) doing her mascara...so much fun!

Mrs. McKlay (Hannah) & Mr. McKlay (Elisha) & Little Casri (Elena)
Chief Delshay looking tough as the little Indians sing, and Casri (me) & Mrs. Rox (Ameilia) to his right, held captive

Not only was the 'Sunshine on Her Face' performance a fun experience, but it glorified God by having the gospel (the Good News of Jesus Christ's saving grace to us) woven into it.  It shone with truth and light, and I know that without God, we couldn't have done any of it!
I'm also proud of all the Cast that did they're best, and left the rest up to God!
I'll never forget that night...now its time for me to go and find a new adventure to use for the glory of God!

Grandma M's Gallery

Love never fades, though these bodies will.

~Maureen Anne is my father's mother, and she was not only beautiful, but caring and loving to all.
I've heard time and time again that she simply loved children, and would just love to have us as her grandchildren if she were still here with us today.
A love for children, and simply a love for every little life was a common bond that my Dad and Grandma shared.  They would notice someone with a tiny newborn baby, or little child, and they would exchange knowing glances.  Though I cannot meet her on earth, I look forward to the day when God will introduce us...and I will get to give her my first hug!
I don't want to sound mushy and sad here, but perhaps you know or have had a family member that has died before you thought they should have...sometimes life can take us by surprise in simple, yet cruel ways.
I don't know what situation your in right now, but I do know that loving life is something that all of us need to do more of.  To simply love, and give grace.
I can confidently look unto my grandmother as that example, because I know she was looking unto Jesus as her example.
What example are you following?

Sincerely in Christ,
Samantha

Fun Flashbacks with Sam

Here's a funny little thing I wrote when I was six-years-old...

'When I’ turn six I’ll get to turn on the light all bye my self.  When I’ turn six I” can put my shirt with out any help and I’ think can get on the shelf all bye my self!

I” like being six.

Six is fun!! I like eating chips. They taste so good. And I even like pears but I didn’t like them until I turned six!! Six is fun six is really fun! If you don’t think so find out your self! Because its good and fun and really fun. So wait until you turn six!! And I’ll be seven!'

"Now, therefore," Says the Lord, "Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping.."
