Hannah Hurnard's
HIND’S FEET on HIGH PLACES

The Lord God is my strength,
and he will make my feet like Hinds’ Feet,
and he will make me to walk upon
mine High Places.
Habakkuk 3:19

'How deeply we who love the Lord of Love and
desire to follow him long for the power to surmount all
difficulties and tests and conflicts in life in the same exultant
and triumphant way. To learn the secret of victorious
HINDS’ FEET on HIGH PLACES

living has been the heart’s desire of those who love the
Lord, in every generation.
We feel we would give anything if only we could,
in actual experience, live on the High Places of love and
victory here on this earth and during this life—able always
to react to evil, tribulation, sorrow, pain, and every wrong
thing in such a way that they would be overcome and transformed into something to the praise and glory of God forever.
As Christians we know, in theory at least, that in the
life of a child of God there are no second causes, that even
the most unjust and cruel things, as well as all seemingly
pointless and undeserved sufferings, have been permitted
by God as a glorious opportunity for us to react to them in
such a way that our Lord and Savior is able to produce in us,
little by little, his own lovely character.'

Taken from the intro in Hannah's Hurnard's book, Hinds Feet on High Places.

'Greater is He within you, than he that is within this world...'

We hear that, and many other Bible verses that stir in us the desire to overcome our problems, to attain Victory over trial and despair and live a life that reflects a victorious, renewed, rejuvenated, born-again! Christian.

But how can you and I become truly victorious over the difficult issues of the heart or the physical world, that we face?

Read this book, and you will find your answer...the Christian walk does NOT have to be lived in simply "getting by", surviving, or inching along.  Your life can be lived Victorious by the blood of the sweet One who loved you and died for you!

My First Ever Tour of the Kansas City Ballet!! It was amazing, like a dream come true!

My fingers caressed the worn, wooden barre.  In my mind, I knew I was here, but in my heart it seemed too impossible, too wonderfully beautiful and amazing to be true.  Even if I never dance with KC Ballet, just to say I ran my fingers across their barre, did arabesque in front of their mirror...it was overwhelming!!!

Wherever the Lord takes me, I will be satisfied.  Wherever He leads, I will dance in that direction.  But always, with a dance in my body and heart and a song to my lips!=)

There are a lot of places that would be neat to join as a Company Member, a paid ballerina professional, but it's wherever the Lord wants me to dance.  I can grow a lot where I am now, I mean A LOT...I've learned sooo much more than I ever thought possible in the past 4 weeks!

But one thing I know for certain, is that my great Shepherd, Jesus Christ, is always faithful and loves me so much that He died for me, so therefore, I will follow His bidding.  He has amazing plans for my future!!  And yours, too!

Love forever His daughter,
Sam

Dancing for His Glory=) Helen Keller Performance, 2014...from rehearsals to shows

I love you guys!

Isn't it strange how fast time flies?  You work hard at something for 6-7 months and then in a long weekend it's all over.  Ballet is one of those things that does that to you.  You work hard at it for a long time and then realize that it's over in a millisecond!  All that hard work, though, pays off, if you work hard and work hard right.

The hardest thing for me over the Helen Keller show weekend was remembering Who I was truly dancing for.  As soon as I took my eyes off Jesus, I started comparing myself to other girls, or wishing "other reasons" for myself.  But I realize now that that was very shallow.  Those people will be gone right after or soon after the show, but my God?  Well, He NEVER leaves me!

Remember the One who never leaves nor forsakes you.  His love for you is tender.

Always,
Sam
