The Riches God has in Store for You

The picture above is of my ten-year-old brother 'preaching' to us in our 'church', (living-room.)
He enjoyed organizing everything and choosing the songs, but I believe that it took a work of God for him to have such confidence and knowledge of the scripture (it did take a work of God!) as he stood up in front of his three siblings, the two dolls and Polly Pockets that sat and listened to his sermon.  Would any of us ever had known that God had gifted him in this certain area if he hadn't decided to study Matthew 9 and discuss it with us?  No!  Just like your life, you don't know what riches God has in store for you until you explore them.
And that may mean getting out of your comfort zone...but trust me, its worth it!
The question is, does your life matter that much to you, to even explore the Scriptures?

Fun Babysitting Adventures

Jordan calls this lumpy gravy Austin made, "Try it Sam!  Try the 'widdle' gritty icing!"  A little too much flour!

Ohh...fun clean-up afterwards!

My siblings decided to create a Pet-shop, Lego, train set, Batman city!
Of all places, our garage!

Making the icing for the cupcakes didn't completely work out...the icing was extremely runny,
but somehow my brother Jordan
found a way to create a cute, yet
funny-looking cupcake
creature with the icing!

Inspiring Stories of Dreamers

Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle is now a famous singer...with her own albums, she sang for the Queen, in American Idol.  Her voice is astoundingly beautiful, but just by looking from the outside, people wouldn't say she was a movie star.
She was laughed at, and lots of people didn't believe she could be a beautiful singer.  But she had a dream!  And not only did she have one, but she pursued it, even if others didn't believe in her!
Is the world laughing now???
Actually, now I bet she's laughing at the world!

'A person of integrity expects to be believed, and when he's not, he lets time prove him right.'

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Dietrich Bonhoeffer?  Who is he? you might ask.  Well, sadly, this courageous martyr for Jesus Christ during World War II has become forgotten, or at least by many.  Recently, I just finished reading a biography of this man, and I could barely put it down.  It was heart-wrenching to discover the truth of how horrible the Nazi's were to innocent people during the 1930's and 1940's, not only in Germany, but in Russia, France, England, you name it.  It wasn't until 1941 in December that America entered the war in her defense, (after the Japanese bombing) but Germany by that time had already been tortured by evil Hitler for eight or some years.  And though many think it was the Jews, it was also any German child or adult that had a slight problem, they would murder them too.  It was their own people!  And how does Dietrich fit in?  Well, Dietrich was living through all of this, trying to secretly pastor a God-honoring church, training up young pastors, and then later on joined a military assassination assignment of Hitler.  He hoped, that by taking down Hitler, that it was help to end the cruelty of the communists Nazi's and hopefully the war.  He had a part in different assassination attempts, but suspiciously Hitler escaped all of them.  Then, he was arrested.
He bounced from cell to cell, concentration camp to concentration camp, witnessing the horrors of innocent little children standing the jail yard, looking like nothing more than walking skeletons.  He witnessed the terrible merciless things that the Nazi's did to everyone...but yet he stood fast.  When Hitler tried to control the churches, saying they couldn't sing the name Jesus, (because Jesus was a Jew, go figure that) he stood fast.  When friends and family around him were being murdered, he stood fast.  When, to his very last breath, he endured his terrible death at only age 39, he stood fast.
What can we learn from this incredible man?  That he feared God more than man.  Yes, the Nazi's took his body, but they did not take his faith.  He is in paradise now with God in Heaven.  He trusted God more than anything else.

The Pursuit for Purpose

Don't happy ending movies give you a sense of satisfaction?  A sense of meaning?  A feeling of purpose?  Why is purpose more of an unknown word today?  Many people desire to discover their God-given purpose, but don't know how to go about finding it.
Well, the first step that you must take is to find out what your dream is.  Dig deep into the depths of your soul and ask yourself, 'What do I truly want to do with my life?'  And I doubt your answer will be, 'Waste it with TV watching, or with texting, or with computer time.'  But believe it or not, many people are answering their call of purpose by ignoring it and distracting themselves with things that don't bring them to their dream but away from it.
So I ask you now, what is your dream?  Surely there's always been something that you've wanted to do, something you've always wanted to see, to say, to live for....surely there's that longing deep inside that's been buried over with life over the years...but still lies deep within.  Surely there's the dream that you had as a five-year-old, thinking, 'Someday, when I get big, I'm gonna be a doctor.'  Or maybe it was a professional ballerina, or a singer on American Idol, or a famous hockey player.
Maybe your dream is to go to Florida and buy a summerhouse down there, and spend each summer with your family at the beach!  Maybe your dream is to adopt five orphan babies from China, or a sixteen-year-old boy from India, lacking love.
Whatever your dream is, I know you have one Every single person wants to do more with their life, but many don't, simply because of the fear of failure or doubt.  But why fear?  You only have one life, right?  Why waste it in a closed house, with air conditioning, and a job that gets you no where?
Of course, if your reading this right now, you might be able to find out what your dream is, but you may be thinking, 'Sure, this all sounds great.  Expect I don't have enough money to pursue my dream.  So whats the point?'
Sadly, this is why many people are average.  Its a money issue.  I mean, come on, if only we could at least fix the money issue, they're would be a lot more people pursuing their dreams, right?  I should think so!

My parents were never amazingly rich, but my Dad had a good job.  It paid just about enough to make ends meet, and my mom came home and became a stay-at-home mom with me and my brother.  But though our life wasn't terrible, it wasn't amazing either.  I only saw my dad at nights, mostly, outside of the weekends, so therefore its not hard to comprehend why most kids have a closer relationship with their moms than dads.  The fathers are out working to provide, and yet, have you ever thought that maybe the dads want to be with their kids too!
I'm sure many people realize this problem, too, but what can we do about it?  What can you do about it?
It just so happens that my parents ran into this group of people that wanted to change the way families were being brought up.  They wanted to fix this problem...and today, thank the Lord my parents signed-up when they did, we are a part of the LIFE business.
So many things are focused on DEATH, these days that its truly a deacon of hope to be a part of something that gives life to hurting people!  With this business, my family and I are able to pursue our dreams, and we can stop be average and be a family again!  LIFE helps people in all 8 areas, Family, Finances, Fitness, Fun, Freedom...and others.  Because of the truly life-changing difference that I have already seen it making in my family and my friends, I decided to be part of it too.  There is a way to pursue your dream...your purpose, and its not with your day-to-day job that makes you work for someone else!

Diaries, Journals & My Secret

Lots of times we think, 'Goodness, wouldn't it be nice to keep a journal.'  But think its too difficult to begin or keep consistently.  Well let me tell you something, I've kept a diary for about 4-5 years straight now, and its as easy as pie!
My secret?  I don't write every day.  Its easy to become overwhelmed if your trying to write every single detail and every day.  Simply put the things that are on your thoughts...the memories that you don't want to forget.  Trust me, it pays back!  Things I wrote 2 years ago I wouldn't remember if it weren't for my diary keeping.

Write a little each week, or even once a month.  At least your keeping it.

A Real Easter

Yo.

Isn't it nice to dress up, find the eggs, buy chocolates for our loved ones, have pretend Easter bunny surprises?  Aren't all those things wonderful, in way?
But what is the true reason for the season?  We cannot forget!  This lost world tries to gloss over the Truth of WHY we celebrate Easter and instead dazzles our minds with sparkling items, but things that have no value to our life.
The reason we celebrate Easter is not all of this!  But it's because of Jesus living the life we should of lived, dying when we were the ones who deserved to die, and rising from the grave, conquering death and completing our payment that we should of payed!  Instead of being separated from God, we can LIVE in Jesus because He lives!
Every other religion will tell you how wonderful their 'way' is, or their 'god' (lowercase 'g') is, but Christianity is the ONLY one that has a Victor over the grave!  Take Buddha, for example, some people trust in Buddha for their salvation and everlasting life.  Wouldn't it be wise to trust in Someone that is actually living with your life?
Buddha is dead, Jesus is alive!  Christianity is real, and we can stand on the Word of God and believe it!

John 20:11-16
'But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.  And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?"
She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."
Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?  Whom are you seeking?"
She supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."
Jesus said to her, "Mary!"
She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!"  (Which is to say, Teacher.)

God had made it to where Mary did not realize it was her Savior Jesus until God opened her eyes.
And her eyes were opened when Jesus called her by name.
He wants all of us to come to Him....turn away from your sin, and believe that His payment on the cross was enough.
He lives

Our Hungering Souls, can be satisfied

~At a local school just the other day, my mom was reading on the wall some different character traits...and, it was about Hunger Games!

There were different character traits posted with it, such as:
Loyalty, Honor, Courage...etc.

Then there was Compassion- and this is basically what it said, 'Katniss had compassion because she killed so and so when he was in pain.'
This is what some children are learning... that having compassion means killing someone!  This is sounding like the killer, Hitler!  This is very wrong and evil!  The Nazi's, in early 1940's, during World War II, would kill anyone that had something wrong with them, therefore justifying their horrid crime of taking a life, by assuring themselves that it was all right because that person had something wrong with them!

Does this sound any similar to Hunger Games?  Oh, yes.  People will try to say its daring, courageous, loyal, but when we compare this dark, dark, book series and movie to God's Word the Bible, the dark spots sort of show, don't they?  When you walk into a room and turn on the light, the ugly night creatures run and hide from the light.
We, as sinners and breakers of God's holy Law, have darkness in our hearts.  In fact, the entire reason Jesus came, was because He wants to wash away the darkness and pour in His glorious Light!
But of course we know that not everyone in this world has THE one and only TRUE Light, and that's why the darkness of their hearts are simply being exposed.  All of us were once in darkness, I was once in darkness, but Jesus brought me into His Light and saved me.  If this is your testimony, then you are not in darkness any longer!
But what are we to do with it?  Should we read the books, saying they're mostly good?  Should we watch the movie series, justifying that they're a lot like other movies, but deep down we have a small, small feeling that perhaps, just perhaps something about it isn't right.
John 1:17 'For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.'
John 1:6-9 'There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.  He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.  That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.'

If you're reading this post and becoming angry or offended, I'm not surprised. Sometimes, the truth can hurt.  But that's ok....because we want the truth.  The truth can set you free.
I simply wish to let the truth of Jesus Christ be known to all men, to all the earth, and this matter of Hunger Games must be known in the light of Christ.

That's o.k.  You can stop reading, forget about everything I've typed, and simply go on with your  life, living the way you like, every second of the day.

But I just want you to know that there IS a better way, there IS a TRUE LIGHT.  And someday, you will be judged according to everything that you've done with your life.   We all will be judged.

Was it for the true Light, Christ Jesus the Son of God, or was it for the darkness of your heart?
Darkness leads to death, but the Light leads to Life.  And Life everlasting!  You can have hope today!
You don't have to be in your 'hunger game' of life any longer!  Jesus came to save you from hunger!

Before I had Jesus, I was hungry!  My soul was hungry!  Everyone who doesn't have Jesus will always be hungry, and will try to stuff their souls full with earthly things, only to find out in the end that Jesus was the true solution to their hungering soul!!!

Don't try to live your life any longer without hope or life!  Being renewed in Jesus is the best satisfying feeling there is!  He wants to change you!  He wants you to be full...in Him!

If this is new to you, and you don't understand what I'm saying, then pray to God to reveal Himself to you.  If you truly mean it, then He will help you to understand His amazing love He has for you!

Now stop playing in the Hunger Game of life...and go, and live your life, in fullness

A Visit to the Deanna Rose Farm

Its almost like holding a nibble-y kitty!
~The Deanna Rose Farm is a very neat place for children and adults alike.  Located in Overland Park, KS, it's entrance is actually a huge red barn, and then when you go in, there's all sorts of farm-fun things to do and see!

We went yesterday, and whether it be an Indian village, holding a fuzzy baby goat the size of a kitten, or looking at peacocks & eagles, they've got it all!

Big Farmer, now!

My Bookmark on Performing Plays...snippets on scripts

~Have you ever been in a play or show before?  There's always lots of practicing, learning, memorizing, perfecting, obstacles and etc., isn't there?  I am currently in a play that is based off of the book that I wrote, (I wrote the script too)  Sunshine on Her Face is what its called.  Here's some snippets, pictures, and funny little things that happen when your in a play or producing one!!!
Whoa!  What's going on???  Is it my line yet?  Oh, yeah, we're supposed to be taking a picture, guys!!!
When some of the boys in the play mess around, they sometimes end up doing something funny that my mom (the producer) wants them to do again!!!
Like, one time, at the following line,

CHIEF DELSHAY:  We’re gathered here today, under authority of  Great Spirit, to test honor and courage of white men captives.  We know future of white men rely on their skill and readiness.  But even if they do not make test, they still set example to all other white men of us…  we are, Tonto Apache!

Right after 'We are, Tonto Apache!' is when they did the funny thing....
Some of the boys went, ''HUGH!" All in unison, like a war cry!
"Hey, that sounded cool!  Do that again!"  My mom said, and so now its going to be a funny snippet in our play!!:)

  Scene 1

Papa-less

Set-up:  McKlay kitchen. Cot is in left-hand corner, left side to stove.  Mrs. McKlay is setting the table.  Little Casri is looking out the window.

NARRATOR 1#: Amelia:  The story begins near the foot of the Agua Caliente Mountains in the fall season.  A little cozy cabin sits just a few miles from Flap-Jack Ranch, 6 miles SW of Agua Caliente, California.
It’s November 15th, 1849.

MRS. MCKLAY: Casri, come back from that winduh’.

LITTLE CASRI: But Ma, when is Papa comin’?  He’s been gone a long time!!

MRS. MCKLAY:  (Taking L. Casri away from the window).   Pa will come when he comes, child.

(L. Casri mopes as she walks to the table and sits down.  She’s still pouting when Mr. McKlay stumbles through the door on the right.  Casri runs to him.)

MR. MCKLAY:  Is this my little chickadee?  (Looking down at L. Casri)
You’ve grown since I’ve seen you last.

LITTLE CASRI:  I didn’t grow, Papa.  I’m just standin’ on my tippy toes lookin’ for Pa and Benji!

MR. MCKLAY:  Well good!  You growin’ up way too fast as it is!

MRS. MCKLAY:  (Coming up to Mr. McKlay and hugging him).  Oh David, you’re soaked!

MR. MCKLAY: Sho’ am!

(Casri gets out of the way as Mr. McKlay takes off his wet coat and Mrs. McKlay puts it by the fire to dry.  Mr. McKlay goes to the table and sits down.  Mrs. McKlay goes the stove and pours a cup of hot tea for him. She gives it to him then sits down.)

MRS. MCKLAY:  Was it comin’ down hard out there?

MR. MCKLAY:  ‘Bout as hard as the Almighty would let it.  But praise the Lord, I’m home safe and sound!

LITTLE CASRI:  You got wet, Papa?

MR. MCKLAY:  Yes, my chickadee.  (Turning to Mrs. McKlay.) Let’s get little chickadee to bed, Becca.  I have some things to tell ya…

MRS. MCKLAY:  All right sugarplum, Pa says its time for bed.

LITTLE CASRI:  Ooh!  But Papa…

MRS. MCKLAY:  You heard your Pa.  Give me a kiss, get in bed, & say your prayers.

LITTLE CASRI:  Goodnight Mama!  Goodnight Papa!  I love you!

(Little Casri gives her a kiss, then skips to the cot near the stove.  She lies down and closes her eyes.  Mrs. McKlay sighs)

MRS. MCKLAY:  Good night dear.

MR. MCKLAY: Goodnight Casri-girl.  Go to sleep.

MRS. MCKLAY:  She’s uh handful but such a blessing from God.

MR. MCKLAY:  Yeah, been goin’ too long on them huntin’ trips I reckon.  Really does seem like she’s grown an inch or two taller.

MRS. MCKLAY:  So…you were going to tell me something?

(There’s a slight pause.  Mr. McKlay leans closer on the table.)

MR. MCKLAY:  Oh, yes ma’am.  On one of my hunting trips, I went in to town to buy some more bullets at the General Store. While I was there I saw that the latest copy of New Times was in, and went ahead and took a look at it.  It was them headlines, Rebecca.  They got me right by the heart.  Gold.  Enough gold for ah king.  Right down in the Northern Californy’ territory.  Right here in Ol’ Californiy!  Can you believe it?

MRS. MCKLAY:  Here?  But oh, David, Northern…

MR. MCKLAY:  I know!  Idn’t it grand?  And jes, think Rebecca; there be ‘nough of that gold to make as rich as the queen of England!  What’d you think?

MRS. MCKLAY:  Northern California isn’t close, David! It’s many hundred miles from here.  And there be Indians and disease and other untrustworthy prospectors!  How’m I supposed to count on you comin’ back?

MR. MCKLAY:  Count on me?  (Voice rising, standing up) Why wouldn’t you be able to count on me?  I’m a trustworthy fellow, and the good Lord will be watchin’ out for me…You think I’m gonna let some little band of savages stop me?  Or some small sickness or ornery prospectors?  Jes’ how weak and sickly do you think I am, Rebecca?

MRS. MCKLAY: (Standing) You’re my husband, that’s who you are.  And Casri’s Pa.  And if you leave….there’s no tellin’ I’ll ever see you again.  No matter how brave you think you are, David McKlay.

MR. MCKLAY:  I don’t just think I’m brave, Becca.  I know.  This is an opportunity.  It could change our lives.....
